The prototype shelter at Avera McKennan Hospital’s St. Isidore Centennial Garden was constructed as AfH Sioux Falls Chapter's second annual community service project – integrating hands on learning, sustainable building concepts, and community stewardship for local volunteers.
The shelter serves the local urban agriculture community, providing a place to gather, share information, provide storage, and demonstrate sustainable building techniques.
